The release of Battlefield 6 is just around the corner, bringing with it some innovations that are meant to excite you in the upcoming shootouts. But have you spotted all the exciting details in the new trailers? MeinMMO summarizes 5 small but fine details from the freshly showcased gameplay.
What are these details? Battlefield 6 has released 3 new trailers in its multiplayer reveal and all of them showcase innovations that aim to elevate the first-person shooting experience with the new installment.
Whether it’s about gameplay, the game world, or a feature – DICE has prepared a lot for the new shooter in October to ensure it feels fresh. If you’ve missed the trailers or overlooked a detail or two, you can catch up with our list.
Pure destruction … and that with the sledgehammer
In Battlefield 6, destruction is a big deal and fully realized. Whether bombs, tanks, or jets – everything can demolish your surroundings to provide you with new opportunities for an advance. A new feature is said to be the sledgehammer. With it, you can break walls and even floors in buildings.
This feature makes exploration more vertical and combat more dynamic. However, how intense the destructions actually are will only be revealed in the beta test, which will take place soon.
Revival is even more dynamic
Your teammate is wounded and you want to revive him, but rescuing him is too dangerous due to enemy fire? Don’t worry, Battlefield 6 makes this undertaking easier for you! You can now revive your teammate while pulling him back.
Meanwhile, your colleague can fire back at enemies, enabling you to escape. This feature makes revival generally much more dynamic and lively.
You can place ladders to reach remote positions
An interesting feature was shown in a short clip: placing ladders. This feature lets you place a ladder vertically to reach a higher area or building, or even use it horizontally to simulate a bridge.
This feature simplifies the exploration and positioning of your units to make combat between the teams more varied. Whether the ladders can also be destroyed is still unknown, but it could be a strong option to sabotage a planned action by the opponents.
More lively movement, even when sneaking
Your movement is improved and receives innovations to feel more lively and dynamic. You can now:
- lean out from cover
- brace against cover
- sprint while sneaking
Whether sneaking while sprinting makes you silent is still unknown, but it would be a strong addition for flanking troops.
Maps are large, but travel paths are supposed to be shorter
Battlefield 2042 was considered a walking simulator – gigantic maps where 60% of the time there was no action because players were busy walking to the current front line. This should not be the case with Battlefield 6. The team has prepared 9 maps in total, and each of them is large, but the travel paths to the conflict are much shorter.
You will still be able to enjoy the environment, but it should not lack excitement. There are opportunities everywhere for gunfights with your enemies.
These were the small innovations that can be easily overlooked in the trailers from our perspective. Did you notice any more details that we haven’t listed?
