Queen Perilia (Queen Beryl)
Exactly the queen who attacked the Moon has a similarly dramatic past. Perilia once lived as a sorceress on Earth. She fell in love with Prince Endymion, who only had eyes for Princess Serenity.
Unfortunately, her love for Endymion was not reciprocated. This created the resentment that Perilia harbored against the moon dwellers. Through a meteor shower, Queen Metallia arrived on Earth and took advantage of the emotionally weakened Perilia. She ultimately convinced Perilia to attack the Moon.
Mamoru Chiba (Prince Endymion)
As if the backstory of Prince Endymion were not sad enough, he also has no luck as a reincarnation in the form of Mamoru Chiba. He is the only male hero and very rarely manages to be useful to the Sailor Warriors.
At the age of six, his parents’ car went off the road. His father and mother died. Only he survived the tragic accident. No external injuries remained, but internally, the incident so unsettled him that he lost his memory. He has always doubted his identity and must live with the torment.
Fiore
The alien appeared in the first Sailor Moon film and is therefore not part of the official story of the manga. Still, we wanted to include his story because it is equally heart-wrenching. Fiore met Mamoru as a six-year-old when he was just recovering in the hospital from the car accident. Fiore also lost his parents.
Between the two, a deep friendship developed. Fiore had to go back into space and promised Mamoru that he would bring him the most beautiful flower in the universe when they met again. On his journey, he found the parasitic plant Xenian, which he believed to be the most beautiful flower in the universe. Shortly thereafter, the flower took further control over him.
Back on Earth, he must realize that Mamoru can no longer remember him. Therefore, he decides to protect Mamoru from the Sailor Warriors. Ultimately, he can free himself from the influence of Xenian, but sacrifices his life for Sailor Moon.
