What is it about? It is 1999 and the world is about to end. Two factions are forming: the Sky Dragons and the Earth Dragons. The Sky Dragons want to protect humanity and maintain the current state, along with the pollution of the earth. The Earth Dragons are against this and see humans as parasites that are killing the planet. Therefore, humanity must be exterminated.
Kamui Shirou stands between the fronts and must decide for a side. He actually just wants to protect his childhood friends Fuuma and Kotori and decides accordingly for a side. However, there is a prophecy that his counterpart, a twin star, will be born. He takes sides with the other side and becomes the sworn enemy.
Why should you watch it? X employs a similar concept to Game of Thrones, just not quite as brutal. None of the characters have “plot armor” and are safe from death. Moreover, the twist with the twin star and a resulting character death is surprising.
