VIVA was one of the few German TV channels that showed various animes in the early 2000s. Usually, music videos from singers were played here, but in the evenings, the music channel transformed into an anime channel. MeinMMO presents you the best of these animes in a list.
Besides the TV channel MTV, which had more mature animes in its program, there was also VIVA. The channel primarily played music videos. However, some animes were also aired that were cleared for ages 12 or 16. This meant that the series were still generally aimed at an older audience compared to the animes on RTL2.
Nevertheless, the animes on VIVA usually aired in the evening block from 10 PM or on weekends. Therefore, you probably only watched them if you could stay awake long enough. MeinMMO presents you the best classics that you could have watched at that time.
Hellsing

What is it about? The Hellsing Organization has secretly formed in Great Britain. It is named after the vampire hunter Abraham van Helsing and protects the kingdom from supernatural threats. This includes ghouls, but also vampires.
Alucard is an extremely powerful vampire bound to the Hellsing family by a spell. He fights for humans and hunts his own kind. He often uses huge pistols. He saves the young police officer Seras Victoria from death and takes her on as his apprentice.
Why should you watch it? Alucard is the big star of the anime. The anti-hero is from the beginning the most powerful being in the anime and it is fun to watch how superior he is to his opponents. And the vampire knows it: He is arrogant and cynical.
