How many mounts do you have, Karsten? Well, my playtime in WoW may span several years, but I am not exactly known as an ambitious collector. Across the entire account, I only have 168, of which I have only regularly used a handful for years (notably the wonderful rogue class mount from Legion).
Okay, what about the true mount collector? That would be the user lasko_leaf_blower, who proudly presented on Reddit that he recently reached the milestone of 1,000 mounts on his WoW account. By the way, the website that beautifully displays this can be found at dataforazeroth.com.
The War Within also brought many new mounts, but the focus in the new WoW expansion is rather on the story surrounding the World Soul saga for many Warcraft fans:

How did the player achieve this milestone? On Reddit, lasko_leaf_blower reflects on his passion for collecting virtual means of transportation. His first mount was the Striped Nightsaber, which his night elf could barely afford at level 40 twenty years ago (at least that was the case for me, but on the right faction side “cough”).
The number 1,000 came from the Demon Hunter quest “A devilishly good find” which required obtaining the Vengeful Demon Screamer. However, the most time was spent on the Tomb Stalker, as he had to send King Dazar to the floor in mythic King’s Rest 408 times.

- ScaredInitial writes (via Reddit): “Congratulations! That’s amazing! I was a mount farmer until WoD, then I stopped caring about collections. I recently came back and started farming again (mainly to get over 500 mounts, 1k mounts are just insane).”
- TryPokingIt wonders on Reddit: “Congratulations! It’s really a shame there aren’t any rewards for this number. You deserve it! There’s a pet reward for 1,800 pets, which is an unusual number, but nothing for 1,000 mounts?”
- StardustJess has learned something from the success (via Reddit): “That’s really cool! I had no idea there were that many mounts – LOL.”
- nagoom apparently had a lot of luck (via Reddit): “I’m at 986. I started mount farming only in season 1 of Shadowlands (started playing at the end of BfA). I’m basically done with collecting mounts, I’m just picking what I like instead of getting one more every time.”
