Canadian Félix “xQc” Lengyel started his professional career in Blizzard’s Overwatch. Now he is the most viewed Twitch streamer in the world, but he has his problems with the Steam hit Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. In a new Twitch clip, xQc proves to be the worst team member that one could have in CS:GO. Over 4 million people have watched the clip.
What kind of situation is this?
- xQc is actually an experienced shooter player. But he gained that experience in games like Overwatch, which catered to all players, not just professional gamers. The game CS:GO (2012) is considered a tough e-sport shooter with an unusual gameplay style.
- CS:GO is particularly popular in Eastern Europe, but in May 2022 it experienced a major surge on Twitch. xQc was even briefly dethroned by a CS:GO streamer as the number 1 on Twitch. So xQc needs to get in there.
- xQc is in a Twitch stream with a teammate in a match; they are both discussing their tactics over voice chat. Everything goes wrong for xQc, but he stays calm and doesn’t show how badly he’s performing.

- When the teammate asks him to throw his Molotov cocktail now, xQc instead throws a flashbang – once again hitting his own teammate, but he shows no signs of it.
- While the teammate complains that “he’s blind”, xQc goes on the attack, but shoots his own teammate in the head – just seconds before he himself gets killed. The teammate wonders why the enemies can blind and kill him so accurately.

This is what makes the clip so popular: The clip was shared on Twitter and has now over 4.3 million views. It is also extremely successful on Twitter.
The funny thing here is that xQc messes up with every action, but he doesn’t show it and makes everything worse while trying to cover up his mistakes.
The comedy arises from the fact that his teammate attributes everything that happens to him to a superior opponent, while in reality, it is all the result of xQc’s mistakes.
The viewer and xQc know this – only the teammate does not, and remains unaware of it.
Even in the seconds after the clip ends, his teammate is still completely astonished at how extremely good the opponents were – they must have apparently been “real sweaters”.
xQc still shows no signs of it, just smiles at the situation and nervously chews on his fingers.
