at the Golden Joystick Awards, has once again released an extensive, impressive patch. The patch notes for Patch 5 are packed with improvements and changes. But we want to particularly focus on four aspects that are celebrated by the community.
Community celebrates the new highlights, especially one change to the inventory
These improvements are about:
Expanded Ending: Starting with Patch 5, there is a completely new ending scene based on the decisions made in the game. The ending of the game left some players dissatisfied. To avoid revealing too much, we will keep this as spoiler-free as possible. In any case, there are brand new scenes. Even if you have already finished the game, you can still experience the new ending by loading a save before the last battle.
New extra hard game mode: In addition to the already existing three difficulty levels, there is now the Honour
mode – a kind of hardcore mode. This mode not only increases the difficulty level in and outside of combat, but also introduces over 30 adjustments to all boss fights. For example, bosses receive additional legendary actions.
No savescumming in this mode: Loading previous saves is disabled. Those who can complete the challenge from start to finish – without a party wipe – earn a golden dice skin.
In addition to the new game mode, there is now also a Custom Mode, allowing you to adjust the difficulty at will and make certain aspects of the game harder or easier. These homemade rules enable you to customize the gaming experience to your own preferences.
Tavern Brawler now works with the Druid: All Moon Druid fans pay attention. The Tavern Brawler talent now works with your hybrid form, which can be incredibly powerful. When you perform an unarmed attack with your shape, you add your strength modifier to your damage and attack rolls twice.
Improved inventory management: Larian Studios has made improvements to the inventory. In the storage, you can now access and manage the inventory of all companions without them being in the active party. So you no longer need to take the companions into the party just to rearrange it.
