Dataminers may have revealed a lot about the future of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Nearly 40 maps and over 20 game modes have been leaked that could find their way into the game.
What exactly was found? Two different leaks now highlight the significant discoveries. A total of 38 new maps and 23 game modes that are not yet available have been found in the files.
This includes classics that you may recognize from other entries in the CoD series. You can expect familiar maps and modes soon.
These maps and modes were leaked
These are supposed to be the new maps: The maps are intended for the various modes in Modern Warfare. We will show you the leaked maps and some images of each mode, presented on reddit:

These are supposed to be the new modes: Some modes still have no description, while others explain what you are supposed to do there. Here are all the leaks:
- Showdown
- Onslaught
- Incursion
- Fireteam
- Breach
- Arms Race
- Team Juggernaut: Each team has a Juggernaut, whose kills are worth more. The first team to reach the score goal wins.
- Reinforce: Capture points to revive teammates. The team that captures all points wins.
- Rupture: Take control of a Juggernaut and storm the enemy base to win.
- One in the Chamber: Gain ammunition when you eliminate opponents. The player with the highest score wins.
- Invasion: Bring your team’s flag to the enemy’s base.
- Infected: Eliminated survivors become infected. Infect everyone or survive to win the game.
- High Value Target: Earn points when you eliminate opponents. If you eliminate an opponent with a high score, you earn those points.
- Gun Game: Be the first player to get a kill with all weapons in this round.
- Grind: Collect dog tags and bring them to the objective to score for your team.
- Drop Zone: Hold the drop zone to receive points and drone packages.
- Demolition: Teams alternate attacking and defending bomb sites. Attackers must destroy the bombs.
- Defender: Get the drone to download data and earn points for your team.
- Search and Rescue: Teams take turns defending or destroying an objective. You can collect dog tags to enable or prevent respawns.
- Capture the Flag: Retrieve the enemy’s flag and bring it to your team.
- Fire Mission: Eliminate enemies, capture headquarters, and escort VIPs to earn points for your team.
- Assault: Attackers assault bomb sites. Defenders defend.
- All or Nothing: Spawn with a standard pistol, a throwing knife, and no starting ammunition. You earn extra perks for kills, but lose everything upon death.
What to keep in mind: While all details leaked here should be taken with caution. Often, such maps or modes are first added to the files and then tested internally. If something doesn’t look good there, it will be removed.
So not all of these maps or modes have to make it into the game.
That’s why the leaks give hope: Even before the release of Modern Warfare, the developers stated that they wanted to continue bringing content even after launch. This leak supports that notion.
Even if not all maps make it in, 38 found maps is quite a lot. If only half of them make it into the game, fans will have much to discover.
This is likely to please players, as there is a lot of criticism on the current maps. New maps will likely be well received.
