Since the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 players have been working to solve puzzles. For 3 puzzles, there seem to finally be solutions, although they stem from theories.
What are these puzzles? On the vast Map of Red Dead Redemption 2 you will find many mysterious inhabitants, hidden clues, and stories that seem to lead nowhere.
Players have been scratching their heads over these mysterious puzzles since release. However, some YouTubers now seem to have found a solution for 3 puzzles.
We will show you what they are and what the theories about them look like.
The legendary, spotted catfish
This is the puzzle: One is supposed to catch the 13 legendary fish and send them to Gill to unlock a fishing mission. In this mission, one is supposedly supposed to catch the legendary catfish. But where is the fish and why can’t it be caught?
The solution to the puzzle: The legendary fish is not actually in the game and therefore cannot be found. Although it can be found in the files of RDR2 described as: “The fish is part of a mission and players will never be able to interact with it.”
So no matter how long players fish for the fish, they certainly will not find it since it is not there at all.
Viking Mystery
This is the puzzle: North of Annesburg you can find an old grave, where you can collect 3 Viking items:
- A helmet
- A hairbrush
- An axe
Many skeletons are scattered on the ground there, but what really happened here?
This is the solution: A stone, which can be found east of Annesburg, describes what might have happened here. The engraving first tells of the arrival of the Vikings, who encountered a wonderful land and nice people. They were then supposed to have made the journey back to let the inhabitants live in peace.
However, the second inscription tells a different story. In an encrypted poem, it becomes clearer that there was a war between the Vikings and the natives, which would also explain the many skeletons in the grave.
The girl at the window
This is the puzzle: In a house at Emerald Ranch, one can see a creepy girl who always stares out the window at night. One might think it is a ghost, but what is behind the mysterious girl?
This is the solution: This is probably not a ghost, but a young woman who is locked up at home. The clues to this story can be found at Emerald Ranch. There is a bar there that has been abandoned for a while. Blood traces, bullet holes, and ammunition can be found on the ground there.
Outside there is a grave of Joshua Burgess, who was “accidentally” shot. Presumably, this is the friend of the young woman. Her father probably found out about the relationship and shot her boyfriend in the bar. Since then, he has locked her in the house to protect her, or rather out of jealousy.
Although some mysteries have already been solved or only the last step is missing to solve the whole riddle and players no longer have to scratch their heads about them, there are still further puzzles that have not been uncovered since the release.
