In the MMORPG Tibia, a war rages between Brazilians and Poles. The absurdity: The nations are dueling on a PvE server. It’s about who can present the top player. Now, the Brazilians have dealt a heavy blow against the Poles.
What’s the war about?
- In Tibia, players can actually only level up, but upon death, they lose experience points and can even drop levels.
- The highest-level players in Tibia, with a level around 2370, have been two Polish players, a couple: Goraca, a sorceress, and her boyfriend Bobek, a druid. Both also stream on Twitch – both have been offered a lot of money for their top character. In Tibia, heroes can be sold legally.
- However, the Brazilians apparently plan to overtake the couple and have declared a “war” for that purpose. Their goal is to get Dejair Invencivel, a druid, ahead of the two to take first place.
Brazilians send Poles to their death – He loses 700 million EXP and 4 levels
They have now succeeded: As a Polish MMORPG site reports in horror, the Brazilians have dealt a heavy blow against the Poles. The war, which has lasted for a month and a half, now has measurable results, they report.
The Brazilians were able to celebrate a big victory on June 27: They managed to lead “our fellow countryman” Bobek to his death, causing him to lose 700 million experience points and 4 levels. They accomplished this by luring so many monsters to Bobek that he died (via youtube).
At the same time, Bobek’s direct pursuer, the Brazilian, managed to gather over 1.2 billion experience points in one day because he combined two special bonuses to collect extra experience points.
Thus, the Brazilian was able to reduce the gap to the Pole by 30 levels in just a few weeks.
Now there are fears in Poland: By the end of 2023, they could lose the top spot in Tibia. A great shame.
The MMORPG Tibia from Regensburg, which was developed more than 20 years ago by 4 students, is still highly relevant even in 2023:
