What do I need to know about the game? Digimon Masters Online is an MMORPG based on the series Digimon Data Squad, but also weaves elements from Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02, Digimon Tamers, Digimon Frontier, and Digimon Fusion into its story.
In the character creation of DMO, you initially only have 4 characters from Digimon Data Squad to choose from: Marcus Damon, Thomas H. Norstein, Yoshino Fujieda, or Keenan Crier. To ensure that not only these four characters roam the digital world, players can give them a unique name and appearance.
Additionally, you will choose your partner Digimon from a small selection. Later, you can earn more Digimon that you can level up and evolve into stronger variants. The combat system against the enemy Digimon takes place in real-time. Even the first simple quests reward quickly with millions of experience points.
The motivation and fun are hampered by the old-school text windows, poorly translated (English) texts, aggressive monetization, a flood of bots, and a high grind factor.
