The Twitch streamer Giacomo “Metashi12” Gaviria reveals who he likes to watch on the live streaming platform. He has been following one streamer for 11 years and there is a special reason for that.
Who did Metashi express his concerns to? In a past livestream (highlight on TikTok), Metashi shared that he has been following the Twitch streamer Jaryd “summit1g” Lazar for 11 years. Summit1g has been streaming on Twitch since August 2015 and had an average of 12,832 viewers in November 2025 (source: SullyGnome).
He describes himself as a variety streamer, meaning he tries out many different games. In November 2025, his focus seemed to be on the shooter ARC Raiders, with over 325 streamed hours (source: SullyGnome).
Back then, 11 years ago, Metashi was having a tough time with “dark thoughts,” as he puts it. Metashi wrote in the Twitch chat of summit1g that he was having a bad day.

How does Summit influence Metashi? In response to Metashi’s message, summit1g reportedly reacted on stream. He supposedly said that Metashi shouldn’t stress, everything would be fine, and that life is just “sometimes shit.”
Metashi found this particularly surprising, as he was not a subscriber to him at the time, and summit1g supposedly had 22,000 viewers in his Twitch stream.
The words gave him a lot of strength, says Metashi, and he was very happy for the next month. He also commented: “I know it’s parasocial is his great-grandfather.” (source: TikTok from minute 00:46).
Summit1g’s action seems to still shape Metashi today, as he took something important from it: “At that moment I knew: If I ever reach a point as a streamer where people feel that way about me, then I’ve made it.” (source: TikTok from minute 00:53)
