The Masquerade Tattoo

The Masquerade Tattoo is suited for players who love to act and impersonate others. One not only learns the spell Disguise Self, which can be used once per day, but can also change the tattoo to their liking. Whether size, placement, color, or what it represents.
This can give the bearer a strong advantage in infiltrations. By using Disguise Self, one not only takes on another persona but can also present a tattoo that belongs to a specific guild or gang. But don’t get caught.
The Eldritch Claw Tattoo
- Brief: Enhanced melee attacks with greater range
- Rarity: Uncommon
- Appearance: Form of sharp claws and spikes
The tattoo enhances the bearer’s fists so that unarmed strikes not only deal magical damage (to bypass immunity to physical damage) but also gain a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls.
As a bonus action, the bearer can activate their tattoo for one minute to extend the range of their melee attacks with fists or weapons to up to 15 feet. Additionally, these activated attacks deal an extra 1d6 force damage.
The Shadowfell Brand Tattoo
- Brief: Grants darkvision, advantage on stealth checks, and takes only half damage once per day
- Rarity: Rare
- Appearance: Dark, abstract shapes
The Shadowfell Brand grants the bearer abilities associated with such a dark place of shadows. If they did not already possess them, the bearer gains all benefits of darkvision and advantage on all stealth checks.
Once per day, the bearer can use their reaction to halve the total damage from an attack, which is really useful in the case of a heavy spell or hard hit, perhaps even in a critical hit – potentially life-saving.
