A few days ago, the Minecraft project “Craft Attack” started its 13th round. 100 German-speaking content creators have come together to play Minecraft live on Twitch. However, one of the Twitch streamers was banned for a day even before the start.
What is Craft Attack? Craft Attack is a Minecraft project that involves various German-speaking content creators. It started in 2013 with only a handful of YouTubers participating.
Currently, the project is in its 13th season and includes 100 German-speaking content creators this year. Among them are Papaplatte, MontanaBlack, HandOfBlood, and CastCrafter (as seen in the title image).
The idea is for these content creators to come together on a Minecraft server and form teams. They build bases and come up with content to entertain their viewers. It’s about fun, creativity, and entertainment and is not intended to be a competition.
The special thing about this year’s season is that there is no end date.
“I screwed up”
Who has been banned and why? Twitch streamer Hugo “LetsHugo” Goedert is also participating in the 13th season of Craft Attack, but not on the first day. The Luxembourg content creator received a ban for that.
The reason: Before the project started, he revealed the results of the participants’ voting, thereby disclosing which other content creators would join the project. The outcome of the votes was supposed to remain a secret for the community at first.
LetsHugo said in a statement: “That’s valid. That’s completely valid. (…) I screwed up. That’s my fault.” (Source: TikTok). After his ban, LetsHugo was then allowed to join the Minecraft project.
How is Craft Attack doing at the moment? The start of the Minecraft project is already a big success. Looking at the Minecraft category on SullyGnome.com, there is an increase of 800% in watchtime among the German-speaking audience.
