Bossk made his first appearance in the fifth part of Star Wars. But he had already been active in the galaxy much earlier, earning a reputation as a talented and dangerous bounty hunter.

He teamed up with other prominent representatives of his profession, such as Boba Fett and Aurra Sing. His Trandoshan heritage makes the reptilian fellow particularly good at hunting, especially Wookiees are on his hit list, as he utterly despises them. He was also appreciated by the Empire, after all, Bossk, along with other bounty hunters, was commissioned to track down Han Solo and the Millennium Falcon.
