What makes Returnal special? Returnal is a roguelike shooter where you play as the crashed astronaut Selene. She is stranded on an alien planet from which she naturally wants to escape. To do this, she must succeed in brutal battles against alien creatures. However, if Selene fails, her escape attempt starts over – and with each new attempt, the planet and the items Selene can use change. Visually, Returnal impresses mainly through the many brightly glowing enemies and their attacks, which create an impressive color image in contrast to the dark and gloomy planet.
