Series: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021)
What happens in the scene? While the series focuses on Captain America’s legacy, the descendant Sharon disregards the legacy of her ancestor Peggy Carter. Although she was pardoned by the US government, in the post-credit scene she calls an unknown figure. She says to call the buyers, although there are no more super soldiers, she has access to secret government weapons.
She is the Power Broker. In the comics, the character is primarily a businessman for supervillains (via Marvel). For clients, the character connects them with the right people for missions. As a manipulator, he plays others against each other to gain the most power for himself.
Will this scene ever be picked up? It is quite possible, but it may take some time. In Captain America: Brave New World (2025), Marvel shows that they have not given up on the secret agent and conspiracy approach, but it is still unclear how Falcon or Bucky Barnes will proceed.
If the characters are to be brought back after the upcoming Avengers films, the Power Broker would be an interesting villain that could introduce a more structured villainous role in the MCU. However, based on the currently confirmed films, it still seems questionable.
