- Defeated Thanos in Thor No. 25 (2000)
The well-known god and hero Thor was able to inflict serious damage on Thanos not only in the MCU (even though he missed the head), but in the comics, Thor is also a pretty strong character. In the 1998 solo series of Thor, Thanos confronts the god and Asgard.
Through several magical items, Thanos enhances his abilities, and apparently, Thor cannot seem to counter this. However, a comrade brings him several instruments of war
. With a shield, a glove, a belt that doubles his strength, and of course his hammer Mjölnir, he confronts the villain.
He charges at Thanos and, although his shield is destroyed, he faces him in close combat with his fists. He grabs a powerful necklace that Thanos wears, destroys it, and then completely overwhelms the Titan. At the end of the volume, Thanos lies defeated on the ground, defeated by the God of Thunder.
