Drax
- Defeated Thanos in Annihilation No. 4 (2006)
Drax is quite a strong character in the MCU films, but in the comics, he is even more formidable. He was originally a human who lost his entire family due to Thanos. He was later resurrected by Kronos to have only one goal as Drax: to take out Thanos.
In Annihilation, Thanos teams up with the villain Annihilus and siphons energy from the entity Galactus. Meanwhile, on the spaceship where Thanos is, Drax fights his way through Annihilus’ troops. He reaches Thanos, and a battle begins that Drax’s daughter actually wants to prevent, as the villain is the only one capable of defeating Annihilus.
Drax seems little interested, as he tears Thanos’ heart out, killing him in the process. However, Thanos was later resurrected (as often happens in comics).
