When we have game-loving guests over, one of two games usually runs on the Switch: Mario Kart 8 (which you can also play well with or against your kids; we accept no liability for side effects) or Super Mario Party.
The latter is a digital board game linked to a large number of mini-games. As is typical for Nintendo, you can expect a lot of variety, heartwarming attention to detail, and great gameplay in every round. Frustration only occurs when the dice roll poorly or the opposing team gets unreasonably lucky.
We especially love that we don’t have to start a board game every time to have fun with Super Mario Party. Usually, we just select the mini-games that the kids enjoy the most. This could be a pie fight, a horse race, or knocking down building blocks with cannons. Due to the vast number of mini-games, boredom doesn’t set in quickly.
All the other party games from Mario are probably also a good choice as they have similar qualities. In practice, though, we’ve only used Super Mario Party so far.
Next, we continue with a good friend of Mario.
