The people at Hazelight Studios specialize in pure co-op experiences that require a partner, and they have always refrained from any sort of service model or microtransactions. Anyone who buys one of their games can bring a co-op partner along through the friends pass, who does not need to own a separate version – strong!
However, their games always contain a lot of heart and variety. There are jumping, reaction, puzzle, and action sections. You frequently change perspectives or gain access to fresh gadgets and skills.
The shared rounds with the boys demonstrate that It Takes Two and Split Fiction rarely overwhelm inexperienced players. And even if something doesn’t work right away: Often, fails can be salvaged by the co-op partner.
