Superman is almost overwhelmingly strong in both comics and in the movies. However, there have been several characters who have managed to take down the hero. We present to you 10 characters who were victorious.
For some comic fans, Superman is a boring character because he is very strong, acts morally good, and makes hardly any mistakes. However, there are indeed stories in which he faces defeat against his opponents.
This is always a special highlight, because Superman doesn’t carry his name without reason. Hardly any hero or villain can match him. Unfortunately, even the hero from the planet Krypton is not always at his best, and so it can happen that he sometimes falters.
The following 10 characters have proven in battle that Superman can indeed be taken down. Our main point here is that he loses a fight, not that he dies in the process.
Wonder Woman

That Superman faces heroes from his own ranks and ends up losing is already unusual. But how it turns out for him against Wonder Woman can only be described as painful and quite uncomfortable.
After all, as an Amazon, she fights exceptionally well and is quite strong. How strong exactly is shown in several stories. However, none is as merciless and brutal as “Wonder Woman: Dead Earth” by Daniel Warren Johnson. In this story, a nuclear attack from the humans occurs, which destroys the homeland of the Amazons, Themyscira, also known as Paradise Island.
Superman could have prevented this but failed. Fueled by anger, Wonder Woman charges at him, and a battle ensues that lays waste to the planet. Superman is badly beaten and dies in the end.
Wonder Woman then tears his spine and skull from his body – Mortal Kombat welcomes. Few of Superman’s defeats are as brutal.
