The actual competition from Marvel has also dealt Superman a heavy blow. In the crossover “JLA/Avengers”, characters from Marvel meet those from DC, leading to a confrontation.
Initially, Superman fights Thor and wins against him. Nevertheless, he is weakened afterward. Several Avengers take advantage of this opportunity and pounce on him. Among them are powerful heroes like Iron Man, She-Hulk, or Vision. The latter receives his own series in 2026.
Together, they manage to knock the man of steel out, even though it was far from a fair fight – following the motto: All against one! In the end, however, Superman ends up as the loser, an achievement the Avengers can proudly claim.
